The Willows Intermediate Community Day School program:
  • serves high-risk youths, including those referred by expulsion, probation, or a School Attendance Review Board
  • provides a challenging academic curriculum, with individual attention to student learning modalities and abilities
  • focuses on the development of pro-social skills and student self-esteem and resiliency
  • develops pro-social skills and resiliency
Opportunity Education Program
Grades 7-8
Teacher: Casey Johnson

The WIS Opportunity Education Program serves students who are:
  • habitually truant
  • irregular in attendance
  • insubordinate
  • disorderly, or
  • failing academically.
Opportunity Education provides a supportive environment with specialized curriculum, instruction, guidance and counseling, psychological services, and tutorial assistance to help students overcome barriers to learning. It is a short-term intervention to ensure that students will succeed when they return to their regular classrooms.
